Hansen discute la idea de que la imagen digital pueda comprenderse solamente desde la técnica que la produce. Frente a una imagen compuesta por datos y procesos, el cuerpo adquiere una función central: selecciona dentro de ese flujo y lo convierte en una experiencia concreta.
El encuadre deja entonces de pertenecer exclusivamente a la cámara, la pantalla o el software. Hay también una función de encuadre corporal: percepción, movimiento y afecto participan en la producción de aquello que llega a experimentarse como imagen.
Esto vuelve extraña la frontera entre una imagen que ya existe y una imagen que se produce al ser percibida. La imagen digital no sería sólo un objeto visible, sino una relación continuamente actualizada entre información técnica y cuerpo.
Hansen challenges the idea that the digital image can be understood only through the technology that produces it. Faced with an image composed of data and processes, the body acquires a central function: it selects from that flow and turns it into a concrete experience.
Framing therefore no longer belongs exclusively to the camera, screen, or software. There is also an embodied framing function: perception, movement, and affect participate in producing what comes to be experienced as image.
This makes the boundary strange between an image that already exists and an image that is produced in perception. The digital image is not only a visible object, but a continuously actualized relation between technical information and body.

Galloway's carry asked whether each interface translates, separates, and reorganizes what of an image can appear. Hansen shifts that operation toward the body: even after passing through an interface, information still needs to be selected and framed bodily in order to become experience. The image does not finish forming inside the technical system.
